ELS FAMELIARS DE IBIZA

The mystic part of the island On the island of Ibiza, particularly in the town of Santa Eulària des Riu, there is a legend about mythical creatures called The Fameliars. These beings are described as small, ugly, and wiry, similar to elves, and are believed to be protectors of of the town’s homes.

• Legends and Traditions: According to legend, to catch a Familiar, one must go under the old bridge of the river in Santa Eulària on St. John’s Night, where a bright flower appears that must be picked and kept in a bottle with holy water.

• Tourist Route: The River Route is a recommended walk for families, passing under the old bridge where the Fameliars are said to appear, and continuing to Puig de Missa, offering a cultural and scenic experience.
